I have been a Revenue Professional in Local Government since 2015 initially at the Rural City of Murray Bridge and then from November 2019 at the Campbelltown City Council.
I joined the Revenue Professionals SA as a Board Member in February 2018 as when I was a new Rates Officer, I found the support received from the RPSA & my fellow members was invaluable to being able to perform the role. I am passionate about helping new Revenue Professionals by having a forum for them to ask questions, informative resources readily available, to share information & keep members up to date with the many changes that occur within our industry to assist them in their roles.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, reading, watching movies and card-making.
I look forward to working with the Board to continue to support our members.

I started my Local Government career at the City of Mitcham in 2014 in Customer Service. After spending about 18 months there, I was asked if I could assist the Rates team a few days a week, which quickly turned into a full-time role. Shortly after, I was promoted to Acting Senior Rates Officer, where I realised I would need help given the specialised nature and my very little Rates experience, so I developed a list of Rates Officers at other councils whom I could ask questions and learn from as I go. I moved to the City of Burnside as Coordinator Rates and Revenue in March 2022, looking for a new challenge.
I really enjoy the diversity of finance, data analysis and customer service skills that rates require, and I am enthusiastic about helping people develop their careers either within rates or wherever they wish to go. One of the reasons I was keen to join the board is to assist other rates officers with anything that they are unsure about. If you ever need advice or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
Outside of work, I am passionate about Landscape Photography (it really is a beautiful state we live in!) and spending time with my family.

I started working for Rural City of Murray Bridge in 2009 as a Records Officer. I was in records for about 5 years until I transferred to the finance department as the Accounts Receivable Officer for a change of scenery. After doing Accounts receivable for about a year, I started assisting in the Rates area. I just did basic rates tasks, but after a while, I took over all the debt collection for rates and other duties, which led me to be the senior rates officer at the end of 2019 after our previous senior rates officer left. Working in rates is a specialised field, and it’s a slow process to get across all the different aspects rates entail. I joined the RPSA board to learn more and expand my own skills within the sector. The assistance provided to me by other more knowledgeable rates officers has been instrumental in my own development.
I have just recently completed my Diploma in Local Government – Rates through Norman Waterhouse.

After 14 years in Local Government and 9 of those deep in the world of Rates Revenue, I’ve come to realise this niche corner of council life is where I see myself working for the foreseeable future.
I’ve had the pleasure of working across both regional and metropolitan councils—each with their own quirks, complexities, and charm. From those early days as a newby Rates Officer at a regional council (where I had to hit the ground running), to now serving as Senior Rates Officer at Adelaide Hills Council, I’ve come to appreciate the diversity and challenges that come with each setting. Adelaide Hills offers the best of both worlds—regional warmth and metropolitan pace—all rolled into one busy, interesting (and sometimes entertaining) workplace.
Rates might not be everyone’s idea of fun, but for those of us in the know, it’s a dynamic and ever-evolving space filled with puzzles to solve, people to help, and plenty of professional camaraderie. That’s where RPSA comes in. I’ve always admired how the RPSA Board is always seeking to foster connection, support, and knowledge-sharing between Rates Officers around the state. It’s a lifeline when you're new and a rewarding network as you grow.
As President, I hope I’ve helped strengthen this relationship between RPSA and its members—even just a little. Supporting others through the twists and turns of rating has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
When I’m not busy working, you’ll probably find me with paintbrush in hand, knee-deep in a garden bed or nose in a book.

I studied at University in Bristol (England) and moved to Australia in 1994.
After many years of hard work and commitment, being recognised as a key legal adviser to local government in South Australia both by clients and my peers in the ‘Best Lawyers Awards’, it was in 2012 that, together with Natasha, I took the opportunity to open our boutique legal practice, KelledyJones Lawyers.
My areas of expertise are all matters ‘local government, whether legislative in nature or common law based. I provide legal advice, including in a strategic, political and business context in contentious, sensitive and difficult matters. I enjoy presenting at sector conferences (both nationally and within South Australia) and have been widely published in local government publications.
Outside of the office, I am a bit of a “foodie” and look forward to spending time in the kitchen trying out recipes (in particular, making them pescatarian or vegetarian-friendly). I enjoy watching my boys play sports and spending time with my (nearly four going on fourteen) daughter at our home in the Adelaide Hills.

I began my career in local government as a Rates Officer at the City of Playford in January 2022, where I quickly developed a strong foundation in revenue operations and council processes. Driven by a genuine interest in expanding my expertise, I joined Revenue Professionals SA as a Board Member in 2025. This opportunity has allowed me to deepen my understanding of the complexities within local government revenue and gain valuable insight into best practices across the sector. The guidance and collaboration within the RPSA Board have played a significant role in strengthening both my technical knowledge and professional confidence.
I am someone who consistently challenges myself to find better, more efficient ways of working. I take pride in sharing knowledge, supporting my peers, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the revenue community. As a strong team player, I find great satisfaction in seeing others succeed and believe that the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration, encouragement, and shared learning.
Outside of work, I have a passion for travel and enjoy exploring different parts of the world, immersing myself in new cultures, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. When I’m closer to home, I love attending theatre shows, maintaining an active lifestyle at the gym, and spending quality time with my husband and our beloved fur-babies.

Hi, my name is Megan, and I’ve been in local government for over 30 years. I started at City of Glenelg in 1989 as a receptionist and held many different roles, including accounts receivable, head cashier and accounts payable with Glenelg Council.
The City of Holdfast Bay was formed in January 1997 (amalgamation of Glenelg and Brighton Councils).
I moved into the rates team in 1999, and even though I’ve been in rates for some years, there are times when something comes along that stumps me. Thank goodness for the Revenue Professionals for their knowledge and help. Rates is certainly a unique and sometimes challenging area. Being able to give back to our members is something I am keen to do.
I first joined the RPSA board in 2002 or 2003 and was an active board member for around 8-9 years. Over the past few years, I have been thinking about rejoining the board as I wanted to contribute to the board and was keen to start up a mentoring program to help with rates knowledge for other Councils.
Outside of work, I am involved with a local football club as their head trainer. This certainly keeps me busy and takes up a fair chunk of my time in the footy season. I also enjoy walking with my beautiful Beaglier, Noodle, going to Strong Pilates and spending time with my amazing friends and family.
