The LGA has released new information on its LG Reform portal relating to various reforms that are anticipated to commence in January 2022.
These include sections relating to Strategic Management Plans, Annual Business Plans and Budgets, Internal control policies, Auditor, Annual Reports and declaration of rates.

The LGA has prepared an information sheet which provides an overview of the main impacts on financial and asset management planning. This information aims to assist councils to understand how the changes impact existing processes and poses some questions that councils may begin to consider in the lead-up to the commencement of the ESCOSA Rate Oversight Scheme:

LGA Members can find information on reforms relating to the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999 that commenced on 10 November 2021 on the LGA’s LG Reform portal: Commencing November 2021
