The LGA has been advised by the Local Government Finance Authority (LGFA) that the Cash Advance Rate as at 1 July 2020 is 2.2%.
Advice is now available on how delayed rates declarations impact upon the content of certificates of liabilities provided under section 187 of the LG Act and information provided under the Land and Business (Sale and Conveyancing) Act 1994 (i.e. “Section 7 searches”).
The charges for a Section 187 rates certificate and Section 7 search certificates were increased with the new fees and will come into effect 1 July 2020 (for more information, refer to the Government Gazette website.
The new charges will be as follows:
Section 187 Rates Certificate goes from $35.00 to $35.75
Section 7 Full Council Search goes from $60.00 to $61.25
Urgent Section 7 Full Council Search goes from $72.25 to $73.75
